Sunday, August 9

Well, here we are on the last day of Gen Con. Didn't do much today; we mostly hung around because of the Shadowrun Q & A session. Our plane wasn't scheduled to leave until 7:05 in the evening, so we had lots of time to kill.

Took one last cruise around the dealer's room. Dan succumbed to temptation and bought the Butt Weasel from The Rowan Tree (the thing was so named because it was the companion piece to the Gut Weasel and the Slut Weasel--what did you think?) It was even a bit discounted since it was Sunday. We decided to have it shipped since we had visions of what the airport security folks would say when they found a big studded metal clublike object in our baggage.

Headed off to the Shadowrun Q & A session. It was held at the Hilton in a room that looked like it would be more comfortable housing meetings of the Hellfire Club. Nice room, but way too fancy for the likes of us! I think most of the participants were feeling a bit uneasy in it, including Mike Mulvihill himself. Most of the questions and answers were stuff we'd already heard, but there were a few new questions. The session lasted almost two hours.

Heading back to the convention center once again, we picked up my Lofwyr painting from the art show and parked ourselves in the anime room to watch movies until it was time for us to leave. Around 4pm we headed out for the airport. Rat 'n' Dan's Gen Con Adventure '98 was finally over--and we're already looking forward to next year!
